Financial Planning For Beginners Tip 1: Something To Selah About

VIDEO TRANSCRIPTION – Financial planning tip for beginners. Tip number one, something to Selah about. Selah is a Jewish term to me to something to reflect upon, something to think about. And that’s what this article is going to be about today.

Hi, I’m Steven D. Cooper, your tax strategist with Coopers Accounting Service because your financial freedom matters. If you’d like to learn more great tax tips, download our popular financial guide at our website, yourfinancialfreedommatters.com or click on the link below this video.

I had a conversation with my mother a few days ago. I am back in my home state of Oklahoma for Mother’s Day weekend. She made a comment that, hey, she’s paying $3.99 for a gallon of gas. She said, hey, I never paid that amount of money before for a gallon of gas.

So I told my mother that if I need to help you, then you know, I have the means to be able to help you. I was talking to one of my cousins as we was watching the concert Friday. When we was watching the concert, he was telling me that for him and his wife, they’re going to be OK.

I said, that’s great. Have you got a plan A for your children? Do you have a plan B for your grandchildren? And they are relatively young. Do you have a plan C for your great-grandchildren? So it’s about creating financial stability for different tiers of your family members as a result of this. God forbid something happens, something pops up.

Do you have the financial security or financial freedom to help your immediate circle of family members? I told my mom this. I said, all I want to do, mom, is just put financial peace in your mind. So you don’t have to worry about this. Your son has paid the price to get you in that position. Same thing that I tell my wife as well too.
