As we are importing our clients, I tell some of them this nursery rhyme, you know, about the big bad wolf. How’s your foundation built? Is it built on sticks? Is it built on wood? Or is it built on bricks? And as we’re going through the different levels of a clientele, I’m going to use one today. 

He owns three companies, grossing $250,000 – $300,000 a year. When I looked at his companies, I asked him one question, sir, do you pay rent? He said, yes, I do. Well, line 11, there’s no rent. I said, so each year, just the rent dispensed alone, you’re losing $50,000 of deductions. And his comment was, God damn it, I knew I was not maxing out.

I guess they know where it was at. Thank you, Coop, for you and your team for explaining this to us. So we’re in the process of amending his 23 to 25 tax returns. Just offer that one deduction that was missed. Some people say, you know, hey, Coop, you got the magic wand. No, we don’t have the magic wand. We’re here at Coopers accounting service. We simply care. That is the big difference between us.

So as we’re going through the clients that are sadly their businesses or personal taxes or own sticks, we educate them and elevate them to go to the brick side of having a solid foundation. So as I’m talking to the clients, we’re explaining this to them and we’re setting up a game plan. 

One of my famous coop business is this, if you right-handed, don’t do business with your left hand, or if you left handed, don’t do business with your right hand. So you can build a weaker hand, but you definitely need to strengthen the more powerful side of your business as well too.
