As I’m sitting down with clients, we had a recent conversation this past weekend. Did you know that billionaires about to get a $300 million tax break? They look up and say, no. So you won’t take a while to guess who’s paying for it. Then I politely teased them and say, how come your right hand, it’s not rising.
Sadly, one of the groups of people that’s gonna be paying for these billionaires tax breaks are W-2 people and retirees. Look at the next line of people. People who depend upon these county hospitals. Well, basically about two out of three county hospitals in rural areas are going to be shut down.
Next topic, people who receive Social Security. Let’s say in this example, you’re supposed to be getting $4,000 a month. You may get a 25 % cut. So that means you may only get $3,000 a month. So I tell my clients, if you’re around that age of 62, get paid now because changes is soon to come.
Now, can this law be overturned? Well, currently, no. We have a Republican president and we have a Republican Congress. Next election, if you want this law to be overturned, we have to elect a Democratic president and a Democratic Congress. Remember, we are the people and we do have a vote, so you do have a say-so into this.
